Stop fronting like {constantly} doing shit for others before doing for yourself is healthy in any way shape or form.
Anyhoo…
Your parent or guardian raised and cared for you as a child. You grew up and started “adulting” and now your just stuck being this grown-up doing all of this shit {like paying those bills} that seems to be repetitive and not so exciting.
You might be a breadwinner, the current or constant go-to in your circle when times get hard. People will pull at all of our limbs, dig in all of your pockets, put all of their issues and problems on you and your mental. They do this not only because that’s who they are but because you allow it. Sometimes you have to be straight forward and let them know “Nah, Not Today!”
Being SELFISH is ok. Matter of fact I encourage you to be selfish at times. You can’t go through life giving-giving-giving to everyone but your self. You’ll end up broke, broken, drained and on an emotional overload taking on everybody else’s shit. I’m not saying be that selfish, constant whining and bratty kid that we’ve all observed or experienced. However, you should not be out here paying all of these bills and then using that spare money to pick up someone else’s slack for their irresponsible behavior. Also, shouldn’t be out here doing everyone else’s footwork and jobs; signing on to help everyone else while neglecting what matters to you.
There’s no way you can give a person, place or thing your all if you aren’t whole and complete. How is it possible to help a person physically or mentally if you’re not feeding your soul? Shit! How is it even possible to give a person a chair or plate and you haven’t even had a seat at the table, yet? Once you get in, get good and get your seat you can share the wealth.
Treat yourself to more than just a shirt or pair of shoes. Really take yourself on a date, write yourself beautiful notes and take some bomb ass selfies. Or Boss Up and do some grown ass shit that you always wanted to do. Do something that makes your heart smile which generates a glow in your face, glow in your pockets and are in alignment with your purpose and goals.
