Folks alwaaaaaayyyysssss wondering and questioning why wanderlust ass, on the go ass, non having kids (and on-the-go parents) are always traveling. Ummmm…Planes, trains, boats and automobiles. Then again they also work, save, budget, buy tickets or got that good old companion pass on that ass. Then there’s the wonderers always saying “I wish I could travel.”
Ummmmm…you can travel too, Sis! In reality there is no secret formula. However, you’d rather have experiences at your local club; poppin bottles with the same folks you’ve been partying with in junior high school. Running to get the newest Jordan’s or spending all your coins on your intoxicating vices. Yes, we all have our vices but sometimes we have to sacrifice some minor shit to get major shit and experiencing life outside of your comfort zone can be that major ass thing.
So here are a few things to cut back on to get some new shit poppin…
1. “Brunchin Every Weekend”
Let’s keep it funky for a minute. You’ve probably been eating waffles for breakfast and chicken for dinner way before Cash Money was taking over for the 99’s and 2000’s. Now you’re in the “adulting” stages of your life and feel grown as fuck, so getting boozy over some basic ass chicken and waffles (that you should know how to prepare in your house) can be removed from the equation, done less frequently or done at your house.
2. “Cable”
Since you were a teen (if you had cable) it seems like you’ve spent more time flicking through channels than actually watching something. Paying $300 per month for some bum ass channels that you might not even be watching can be a waste. Think about your life and how much time you really spend in front of that tv and ask yourself “is it worth it?” Ps: the price of your cable for one month can also be a roundtrip ticket to the caribbean, Mexico or opposite coast if you book it in advance.
3. “The Consumer Trap”
Every season new shit drops and the following season (or 2) it’s on sale. It’s like clockwork. They get you every time. Every week or month you’re in the mall seeing what’s new that you can spend your money on. But for real, for real, which generation of the Jones’ you keeping up with now? I’m certain you have a plethora of clothes in your closet or stash that you haven’t touched because we have a tendency of wearing the same old stuff. So before you run to the mall think of your style and go shopping in your closet.
Cut back on that frivolous spending, save and plan for that next trip…if you have a problem planning reach out to me because I’ll get you right!
