Prep Yo Shit!

393 days ago WorldWideWeez was born and I had no clue that I’d actually post every week, be getting more makeup gigs, continue the program I created mentoring hs seniors and creating a planner. The first post was about doing new things and being a better me during this journey but one thing I’ve learned was the power of preparation.

Embarking on this entrepreneurial life has taught me the importance of awareness and preparedness. When it comes to certain areas of my life and being an artist im prepared for all complexions and all occasions. As an artist, if I run out of a product, I need to re-up. I shouldn’t be waiting until I get to the client to find out that I wasn’t prepared and now have to figure something out although makeup is art and as long as you have the primary colors everything is figureoutable (made up word).

With this blog I’m learning to be more prepared because majority of my life requires face to face interactions and I can’t always be seated to write, edit and be a traveling ass Photog!

If you know there’s something you need done in order to be productive why wouldn’t you get it together prior? That saves you time, anxiety and stress at the last minute. Yes, there are many productive “last minute ass Linda’s” but don’t forget about Murphy’s Law: “If anything can happen, it will”.

Sometimes your spirit will guide you to wait and that’s fine, but don’t let it take a year. Don’t sit around wasting time not prepping nor doing research on what you want. Find people you can trust to help your process and know that you can’t be everywhere at the same time.

So reconsider when you want to wait for tomorrow, do your due diligence and know that you did what was in your control.  Don’t skimp on the planning because the planning portion is the longest during your journey and there’s no way to accomplish that goal or reach that destination without it.
